| Word | Meaning |

| Workspace | The folder the crew works in |
| Run | One request carried out from plan to report |
| Step (sub-task) | One part of a plan, done by one cook |
| Route | A provider, key and model together; the unit the crew fails over between |
| Flame | How much the crew may use per call: low (free keys) or high (paid) |
| Check command | A command the Chef attaches to a plan (such as npm test), run before the review |
| Checkpoint | A private snapshot of the folder before and after a run, used for View changes and Undo |
| Skill | A short pack of working advice added to an agent's prompts |
| Connection | A service the crew can use (an MCP server or Google) |
| Flow | An automation drawn on the canvas |
| Credential | A secret a flow step uses (a token, a key), stored encrypted |
| Kitchen | Another folder open in its own window and its own copy of Kadhai |
| MCP / ACP | Standard protocols that let other AI tools and editors use Kadhai |
